In 2007 the Sport of Fitness, as it has come to be known, burst onto the fitness scene with the introduction of the first ever CrossFit Games. In 2007 there were less than 50 CrossFit affiliates and a mere 70 athletes competed at the “Ranch” in Aromas, California. In 2019 there are over 15,000 affiliates and over 400,000 participants worldwide in the CrossFit games, which are now held at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison Wisconsin.

The CrossFit Games, however, is no longer what CrossFit wants to be known for. Instead, the current goal is for affiliates worldwide to help average ordinary people get into the best shape of their life while combating the ravages inflicted by the modern lifestyle.

The Rack, a CrossFit in Allendale, New Jersey, is proud to be a part of the fastest growing segment of the fitness industry today. The Rack originally opened its doors for business on July 4th, 2010 in Paramus, NJ. At that moment the collective dreams of Dan Sullivan and Patrick Sullivan were realized. Over the last few years two additional owners have been added to The Rack — Dan De Rienzo and Dmitriy Mazur. Together this team brings over 40 years of fitness experience and education to The Rack. CrossFit brings an unparalleled strength and conditioning program to The Rack. Combining all of this in one facility yields a degree of fitness that is unmatched anywhere else.

CrossFit The Rack is as much about the community of members as it is about fitness. We are all in it together and some of the closest relationships we have ever experienced have been developed here at The Rack.

We strive to touch and improve the lives of as many people everyday as we possibly can.
A comprehensive fitness program should address the physical, psychological and emotional well being of any individual.

That dictum is at the foundation of CrossFit The Rack and is a guiding principle of Dan, Pat and the entire Coaching Staff.
